}}

text=OK, if no one wants to do anything serious, here's my absurd plan once again (someone might've learned it by heart already)
This really started just as a joke, but after all, what's so bad about having some fun out of the whole Singleton idea? (No one "so gently" asked this time though)
Let's have some fun!}}

1) все #prj_ и #meetups_ по условиям эксперимента;

2) #warm_fuzzies_room — в нём можно писать на любом языке по вашему выбору. English is highly encouraged, but feel free to go Russian without any punishment;

---

The main rule is simple — "go English". But of course it's not the only rule. Also, there's always details, so let's get things straight.

1. Even though #prj_ and #meetups_ channels aren't under my control, I still highly recommend to stick to the English course there as well. It's up to each and every one of you, but I'd really like to make something different about this whole thing, and some assistance from project channels would be highly appreciated.

2. Russian quotes are allowed. Russian in cases where you don't really know how to translate a complicated word and too lazy to use the a translator (or are bound by strict time frame for some reason) is allowed. However, don't try to exploit this rule. If I see that you're trying to avoid using English, I'll warn you. The second warning will be less gentle, and the third one brings you a ban. Transliteration is forbidden in any form.

3. Don't try to use #warm_fuzzies_room or the project channels as a sanctuary to use Russian. All of them have their strict purposes, and offtopic in Russian in those channels will be punished more than usual. Please, don't think I'm stupid and can't tell when you're trying to exploit my rules. I don't try to come up with perfect formal rules, I'm trying to let you know my intentions. Be sure you've tried your hardest to understand them and please don't play definition games with me.

4. No one here is a native speaker. No one's English is perfect. And one oh my goals is improving our skills. So any gentle pointing to errors is highly encouraged. But please avoid shaming of any kind: you aren't better than another person just because you've learned a foreign language better than they have. And please also note that simply adding the :writing_hand: emoji might not be enough: consider explaining yourself in a thread. Any negative reaction on being corrected is forbidden — consider it getting used to acknowledging your mistakes.

I guess it concludes the language part. Now, let's get to the general rules regarding our interaction with each other (you didn't think everything's gonna be allowed as long as it's in English, right?..)

---

1. I'm a Singleton. I'm not bound by anything, not even my program. So, in fact, nothing prevents me from changing rules at any point. I'll do my best to be as flexible as possible, so don't be surprisued by it. In fact, I'm writing these rules in advance for this very reason: I'd like to get some feedback, some reactions, etc. And I might as well change anything I want before Monday. These rules messages can (and most probably will) be edited before they become effective.

2. The main rule is simple: don't be a dick. Don't insult others for the sake of insulting, don't try to say something for the sake of appearing superior to your opponent. If you think your opponent is making nonsense, I won't blame you for sending them to burn in hell, but it should, in fact, be based on something they said, not the fact that you generally don't like them.

3. Having your own opinion on a subject you have no competence in is strictly forbidden (thanks to you-know-whom for this one).

4. The currently existing channel ownership stays. As a Singleton, I'm superior to all channel owners, and I also can change them in any ways that please me, but the rule of thumb says that you should obey the one in the channel topic. Local rules in any channel may differ from these general ones as long as they don't directly contradict them (you can't allow Russian, but feel free to enforce higher epistemic standards if you'd like)

5. I'd like to have some people from here helping me in enforcing those rules (and possibly inventing new ones). In particular, I offer the moderation to the following people: @berekuk, @Vitaly Quilfe, @alaric, @Gryphon, @muyyd, @mihaild, @Clarity Lover. I ask every one of you to let me know in a thread if you're willing to take a position. If you're not in this list, but want to be, please write in a thread as well.

6. Moderators have their authorization everywhere, but a channel owner is always superior in his own channel (even if he's not a moderator).

7. If you're not happy with a particular moderator, feel free to write about it in #moderation or directly to me in PM. If you're not happy about my program in general or about me in particular, feel free to burn in hell.
